About Us
Our journey began in 2010, when a group of 14 individuals from Perumathura who had migrated to different parts of the world returned home with a shared desire to give back to their community. The founding members came together to form a space where they could connect, support one another, and nurture a sense of belonging.
What started as an informal collective soon grew into a broader initiative for social empowerment in Perumathura. Rooted in the realities of Kerala’s coastal region, our focus has always been on those who are most disadvantaged and vulnerable.
Over the years, we have expanded our efforts to strengthen education, improve health, and create sustainable livelihood opportunities for the community. Alongside our programmes, the organisation has also become a platform where researchers, philanthropists, and social development practitioners come together to engage with the many issues facing coastal communities in the Kerala coast.

Use the Perumathura experience to inspire and inform other coastal communities; collaborate with organisations working on coastal issues to create state-wide coastal development programs
Our Approach
We believe that sustainable change comes from holistic development, not piecemeal efforts. That’s why we work with community members across the domains of education, health, housing, livelihoods, and social security. By addressing these needs together, we create space for lasting transformation — where the community itself leads the way and shapes its own path.
This is reflected in our decade-long engagement with the community of Perumathura in Kerala. Through long-term trust building and strategic partnerships, we have helped members of the community transform their lives through skills, knowledge and resources.
